Certification Training Course Outline
The two-day SAINT® Certification training program is held from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Registration begins each day at 8:30 a.m.
Continental breakfast, coffee, water, soda and afternoon snacks are provided on both days. Lunch is also provided. A workstation will be provided for each student. Each student also receives a pre-loaded SAINTtraining USB stick with SAINT software and all course material to take away from the course! The Lab also includes a friendly competition. The winner walks away with an additional prize, so don’t miss out!
Attendees must be present for the entire course in order to receive a certificate.
Day One Morning
Presentation
- SAINT background
- Installation of SAINT and SAINTmanager
- Generating keys and configuring SAINTexpress
- Updates
Workshops
- Installation of SAINT scanner, SAINTexploit, and SAINTmanager
- Setup SAINTmanager with one node and then run several scanners
Day One Afternoon
Presentation
- Discussion of scanning and startup options
- SAINTwriter reports with custom and OVAL checks
Workshops
- Setup custom checks for IIS and OVAL checks, registry files, .dll files, or received string from port
Day Two Morning
Presentation
- Penetration testing, scanning levels, exploits and tools
- Creating custom e-mail packages
Workshops
- Penetration testing, e-mailed attachment execution and download connection
- Keystroke logger and other exploit tools
Day Two Afternoon
Presentation
- Setting up spear phishing attacks and then report creation with SAINTwriter results
Workshops
- Running mySQL Injection authentication bypass and mySQL brute force password exploits
