Mr. Richard S. Carson – Chairman
As Chairman, Mr. Carson focuses on long-term issues involving infrastructure and financial considerations. Mr. Carson has over 30 years of corporate experience and has been a visionary in identifying new electronic markets and strategic partners.
Mr. Carson is also a local community leader:
- Rotary International representative to the Organization of American States (OAS) for 2008–2009
- Rotary District Governor for 2007–2008
- Chairman of the Montgomery County, Maryland Health Commission
- Trustee on the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission Pension Plan
- President of the Rotary Club (Bethesda–Chevy Chase, MD)
- A major fundraiser for several local non-profit organizations
Mr. Carson obtained his Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree from Cornell University. He is a member of the Industry Advisory Council of the Cornell School of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
Ms. Donna Ruginski – CEO and President
Ms. Ruginski is responsible for the strategic planning process and the entire operational implementation of SAINT Corporation. Major parts of the strategic planning process include the successful integration of strategic partners, the identification, development, and improvement of security products, and the use of both conventional and electronic commerce marketing techniques. Ms. Ruginski has over 20 years of corporate experience and has been successfully involved in all areas including management, sales, marketing, engineering, and the implementation of large security and systems solutions. Ms. Ruginski earned a M.S. in Computer Science at The Johns Hopkins University Whiting School of Engineering. She graduated cum laude from Towson University, earning a B.S. degree with a double major in Mathematics and Computer Science.
Mr. Sam Kline, CISSP – Chief Technical Officer
Mr. Kline is responsible for establishing the company’s technical vision and leading all aspects of the company’s technology development. He provides engineering and architecture oversight for the SAINT® suite of tools; and design and deployment of new vulnerability assessment and penetration testing capabilities in SAINT products. His information security experience includes the supervision of network vulnerability assessments and penetration testing at the Pentagon. Mr. Kline has a B.S., magna cum laude in Electrical and Civil Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis and a M.S. in Computer Science and Applications from Virginia Tech.
Mr. Billy Austin – Chief Security Officer
Mr. Austin is responsible for the growth, branding, and vision of SAINT’s product and services. He has held executive and security consulting positions for both intrusion detection and vulnerability security vendors. Prior to entering the commercial vendor sector, he performed security assessments for both government and commercial organizations. He is a recognized speaker in the security industry, frequently presenting security topics including vulnerabilities, exploits, and threats. Mr. Austin holds an A.A.S. from Mountain View College in Dallas.
Mr. Randall Laudermilk – Product Development Manager
Mr. Laudermilk is responsible for all aspects of product lifecycle management, from strategic direction and planning, to development, fielding and support. He began his career in the U.S. Air Force in 1981, and later transitioned to the Joint Staff, Special Operation Division at the Pentagon, before moving to the private sector.Mr. Laudermilk joined the consulting firm of Richard S. Carson & Associates in 1989 and provided a wide range of technical support services to both U.S. government and commercial clients during his tenure there. Mr. Laudermilk joined SAINT Corporation in November 2009. Mr. Laudermilk earned a B.S. in Information Systems with Park College, and later graduated cum laude from Marymount University, earning a M.S. degree in Information Systems. Mr. Laudermilk completed professional study at the Performance Institute, and is currently a member of the Project Management Institute.
